Training for disasters with Augmented Reality – the city of Leverkusen is breaking new ground!
In the event of a crisis, rapid and structured action is the motto. This is practiced and internalized in regular training courses.
The city of Leverkusen and the University of Potsdam want to go one step further with Augmented Reality. Natural disasters can be displayed using AR glasses, i.e. major damage situations are visualized and crisis management scenarios are simulated in a 3D environment.
In addition to the visualization of realistic on-site situations, Augmented Reality also allows the crisis team to act cooperatively in possible real-time scenarios.
